This project is our way of contributing back to the community that guided us. As we continue on our own paths, we hope these tools can help simplify yours.
Our Mission
Our mission is twofold: to deliver tools that empower you to understand your financial journey, and to provide powerful simulators that help you plan it. We believe that with the right insights and a clear roadmap, anyone can navigate the path to financial independence with confidence.
Our Story
FI-Journey began not in a boardroom, but from a desk under the dull, fluorescent lights of a typical tech office. After earning a Master's degree in IT and Data Science, our co-founder, Lauren, landed what was supposed to be an "awesome" job in the tech sector. The reality, however, was a monotonous 9-to-5 grind, surrounded by uninspired colleagues, where earning half a day of vacation required six long days of work.
This disillusionment sparked a search for an alternative path—a way out of the rat race. Lauren's research led her down a long road of discovery, from aggressive debt repayment strategies and the principles of minimalism to the life-changing concept of the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement.
The idea for FI-Journey was born from that frustration: a desire to create a single, intuitive, and powerful platform to help others chart their own course to freedom. What started as a personal quest has evolved into a mission to make the journey to financial independence accessible to everyone. We sincerely hope these tools help simplify your journey to FI.

Brad is a passionate software engineer specialized in the design and implementation of progmatic AI systems. He has a deep interest in personal finance, and is dedicated to building the robust engine that powers FI-Journey.
Founder & Financial Strategist
After a disillusioning start in the tech industry, Lauren discovered the FIRE movement and became passionate about personal finance. With her background in data science, she is dedicated to building tools that bring clarity and simplicity to complex financial planning.
